Thanks to the efforts of the contractors, who got very wet in freezing conditions, the South side of the lower deck

( Deal and Walmer side ) is now open for fishing. We are not sure when work will be carried out on the remainder of the deck.

Monday 1st March

Fishing is starting to improve. We are seeing plenty of small pouting and whiting, the odd dogfish, a few dabs and, today, a small bass and a couple of minute codling. Let`s hope they get bigger soon.


Fish of the month

 

We almost had a blank month but did eventually get a winner. On 27th February Ivan Rubins of Deal caught a dogfish weighing 740 grms. Let`s hop the fishing improvesFriday 26th February
Winner of the January fish of the month competition

was a codling weighing 2kg - 400gms (5 lb) caught on the second of the month by Barry Stiles of Semington, Wiltshire
