A question was asked recently about the seabed The persons email address has been lost, so here is the answer

The sea bed around the Pier was dragged over a 2 day period at the end of September. Large amounts of tackle was cleared and 4 very large clumps were dragged out to sea (too heavy to lift into the boat). Whilst this improved fishing many snags remained, many caused by large flints sticking out of the sea bed. There are still many obstructions to fishing, particularly from the lower deck and as time goes by the situation will only get worse because of the amount of tackle being lost.

Fishing Message Board

JanuaryMonday 25th January

It`s all very quiet on the fishing front. We are still seeing plenty of dabs and small whiting. A couple of tiny bass have been caught in the last week but, apart from this it has been dead.

Fish of the month

Winner of the January fish of the month competition

was a codling weighing 2kg - 400gms (5 lb) caught on the second of the month by Barry Stiles of Semington, Wiltshire
